Join Ibarionex on an intimate photo experience exploring the richness of Los Angeles. These photo walks allow each photographer to not only hone their skills as a photographer but to explore Los Angeles and the surrounding area.

Each session includes a 4-hour photo walk and a 2-hour online critique session with all participants.

Photo Walks focus on culturally rich areas of Los Angeles, and may include public festivals and events.

Limited to only 5 people per session, the Photo Walk provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience geared to help nurture your photography skills.

Sessions may and can include focuses on:

• How to repeatedly place yourself into a creative mindset

• The difference between the creator vs. the editor

• Optimal technical choices to produce well-exposed and sharp photographs

• The importance of graphic elements (light & shadow, line & shape, color & gesture)

• The wide variety of subject matter available on the street

• To create strong and effective compositions, whether they include people or not

• How to overcome your fears and anxieties about photographing in public

• A simple and repeatable workflow that will always leave you prepared

• How to approach and engage with strangers

• How to cull and select the better images from a shooting session

• When and how lens choice becomes critical

The Photo Walks are open to photographers of all experience levels. However, you should have a fundamental understanding of the workings of your camera. This includes knowing how to set exposure, focus, white balance, and picture settings. Bringing along the camera’s instruction manual is highly recommended.

Upon registration, each participant will receive a schedule that includes meeting times, locations, and contact information. You will also be able to provide us with additional information on special accommodations you may need.

TERM & CONDITIONS:

• All registrations are accepted in the order received.

• Early registration is strongly suggested since there are limited spaces available.

• Eligibility: Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the entire journey.

• Included in the Street Photography workshop cost:

  • Instruction by Ibarionex Perello.

  • Group critique session via Zoom

• Not included in the photo workshop cost:

  • Meals, drinks, and accommodations

• Payment, cancellation, and refunds:

  • If you are unable or choose to no longer attend the photo workshop, the following refund schedule will apply:

    • 14 or more days before the beginning of the workshop: If your spot is filled, the deposit can be applied to another workshop within a year.

    • Less than 14 days before the workshop: No refund unless you find someone to take your spot. An administrative fee of $50 will be applied.

    • Cancelation notification is accepted by email.

    • Leaving a workshop in progress for any reason will not result in a refund.

    • We reserve the right to cancel a workshop because of an inadequate number of participants making the workshop economically infeasible to operate. If a workshop is canceled before departure, you will receive a full refund of the cost of the workshop.

  • Travel insurance:

    • For your protection, travel insurance (if appropriate) is strongly recommended.

Responsibility:

The Candid Frame LLC will provide educational enrichment during workshops. The other providers are solely responsible and liable for providing their respective services. The Candid Frame LLC shall not be held responsible for (A) any damage to, or loss of, property or injury to, or death of, persons occasioned directly or indirectly by an act or omission of any other provider, and (B) any loss or damage due to delay, cancellation, or disruption in any manner caused by the laws, regulations, acts or failures to act, demands, orders, or interpositions of any government, or by acts of nature, strikes, fire, flood, war, terrorism, sickness, theft, or any other cause(s) beyond their control. The participant waives any claim against The Candid Frame LLC. for any such loss, damage, injury, or death, The Candid Frame LLC. reserves the right in their sole discretion to accept, decline to accept, or remove any participant in any photo workshop. The Candid Frame LLC. reserves the right, without penalty, to make changes in the itinerary whenever, in their judgment, conditions warrant or if they deem it necessary for the comfort, convenience, or safety of participants. You have assumed the responsibility to select an activity appropriate to your physical abilities and interests. You are personally responsible for being in sufficiently good health to undertake the activity.
