Erin Manning discovered photography at age seven when she received an instamatic camera and found a book of photographs, The Family of Man. A fascination with images of people in that book and her own family photographs helped lead her to a successful career as a portrait and commercial photographer. As well as being a great photographer, she is also an author and the host of DIY Network's The Whole Picture, a television show focusing on making better photographs.
