Richard Koci Hernandez is a photojournalist and documentary photographer based in the San Francisco Bay Area. His passion for visual storytelling began in his years as a staff photographer at the San Jose Mercury News and continues today in both his personal work and his collaboration with students, including those at the Graduate School of Journalism at U.C. Berkeley. His early embracing of multimedia was ahead of its time and provided him an opportunity to help define a storytelling which is still in its infancy. At his heart, he is in love with photography and exudes that in all the work that he creates and shares. You can discover more of his work by visiting his
website or his
Flickr page.
Richard Koci Hernandez recommends the work of
Dan Cristea.
